A Note From the Artist:

I enjoy exploring a variety of media, including watercolor, oil monotype, linocut and mixed media pieces, creating images based on our beloved Southwest Louisiana landscape, its people and culture. There is no shortage of inspiration or subject matter from which to draw. The inspiration for my work is based on color and the impact it has on human emotion. I use encaustic and acrylic media to explore the possibilities of color relationships. The spontaneity of the wax medium, combined with the richness of the colors, became a primary force in the creation of my latest works. By reducing the form to its most simplistic shape, I attempt to represent “universal” man. I mean to suggest the connection we all have to each other through our life experiences and the emotions elicited from these experiences.
